If you are expecting a tax refund, you can arrange to have it paid directly to your Credit Union account by notifying the Australian Taxation Office (directly or via your tax agent).
This way you should receive your refund faster, more securely and without fuss.
The details you will need to provide to the Tax Office are:

Avoid Unnecessary Withholding Tax!
Check your July statement to make sure you have not incurred Tax File Number Withholding Tax which must be deducted from your interest if you have not provided your Tax File Number at the time of opening your account.
While you can arrange for a refund on your next tax return, to avoid this inconvenience in the future, please contact us so we can note that your tax file number has been provided.
